What is the Pela cases made out of?
The Pela Case is made of Flaxstic®, which is comprised of compostable bioplastic elastomer and flax straw materials. Our material has been tested to be safe and free of phthalates, BPA, cadmium and lead and is verified to meet child safety standards in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Our base material meets U.S. (ASTM D6400-04) and E.U. (EN 13432) standards for composting in an industrial composting facility and has a lower carbon footprint and lower greenhouse gas emissions than traditional plastic.

How do I keep my cork/Pela case clean?
Since both cork and flax are natural products, the cases aren't completely flat. This means that dirt and discolouration can show of more than on a regular plastic case since it gets stuck in-between the fibrers.
You can use isopropyl alcohol to remove stubborn stains, or take a sponge with dish soap water and rub the case with it.
Note that the printing on the cork cases is not black color. It's laser print, which means that the black actually is burnt cork; it can transfer to the rest of the case after a while.
Over all, try to avoid dark jeans and food, those are the stains that are the hardest to remove!
Where do you come from?
The brand is Sweden-based, and that's where the cork and wood case printing is hanging out as well. Pela, on the other hand, is a Canadian company, we are retailers for them.
Can my company buy cases with our logo on them?
Of course! Both our cork and wood cases can be custom made, send us an email on firstname.lastname@example.org. We are happy to help and will normally answers within 24h!
Are the Pela Cases child safe?
Yes! They meet child safety standards in the U.S, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zeeland. Since they are made of biodegradable material, it is the perfect phone case for all parents out there. But keep in mind, that even though the phone cases meet child safety standards, they can still be vulnerable to toxins surrounding us on a daily, so maybe don't eat them ;).
